Pet shipping services in Canada?

I live in Nanaimo, British Columbia. I'm moving back to Louisiana soon. My husband and I have a black lab that we need to ship. Getting rid of him is not an option, so we need to find a shipping service to ship him from Nanaimo, British Columbia to Lake Charles, Louisiana. Or somewhere near those two places.

Air Canada will ship animals alone, West Jet has a new policy that you must be on the same flight as your pet.

I'm not sure if the Canadian airlines fly to where you want but you can just check that on their websites. If not most of the big U.S. airllines fly out of the major Canadian cities, but you may have to fly out of Vancouver for them.

    Good luck with your move!

You might try American Airlines Cargo as they might cover the route B.C to Louisiana. I know Air Canada does ship animals also but it depends on the route.

Here's the web site for American Airlines:https://www.aacargo.com/shipping/animals.jhtml

or call:1-800-433-7300 for instructions and information

    Fly him.

Most commercial airlines ship pets, as live freight.

Call Air Canada, and West jet, for routes and prices.

    The above suggestions are great.

Also expand your search. See if there is a carrier flying out of Seatac that could help.
