Boaters License for more than one state?

If you have a boaters license for Maryland do you need another one for Pennsylvania, Florida, ex? Does it work like the driver license where you can go into any state without that state's license?

It works like an automobile drivers license. I copied the following from the state of Pennsylvania's web site:

"Boating Safety Education Certificates are required:

o To operate a personal watercraft

o For persons born on or after January 1, 1982, to operate boats powered by motors greater than 25 horsepower.

Approved permanent Boating Safety Education Certificates for Pennsylvania residents must be issued by the PA Fish & Boat Commission. Out of state boaters must have a certificate issued for a course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA)."

Here's a link to their website.

You can also check out the sites for other states to verify.
