what is a JIB the word jib i heard it and idk what it means

    Two options, depends on the context of its use.

    1. The horizontal part of a crane (long sticky out bit...)

    2. Small square sail on the front of a small sailing boat.

    Now, there is an expression, "I like the cut of his jib" Relates to the way someone stands with their jaw jutting out, sort of looking self important or proud.
