How to uninstall Smiley Central completely?
Need help on uninstalling Smiley Central badly. I have already uninstalled the program from Control Panel. I then ran Spybot Search & Destroy but it wasn't able to remove it coz It says I'm not an administrator but I do have admin access. I'm now at the Registry Editor but I can't seem to find the associated files.

This is the Customer Support Dept for the MyWebSearch toolbar here to provide accurate information on how to uninstall the MyWebSearch toolbar. Note that the toolbar is configurable and if there is a particular aspect of the toolbar that does not agree with you, you may opt to change your configuration rather than uninstall. Help for this toolbar can be found at: http://helpint.mywebsearch.com
To uninstall, follow these simple instructions:
1) From your computer's 'Start' button, select 'Settings', then 'Control Panel'
2) Double-click on 'Add/Remove Programs' for Windows XP or 'Programs and Features' for Windows Vista
3) Select "My Web Search (Product name)” where Product name is the name of the site that you downloaded the toolbar from.
4) Click 'Remove'.
5) You must reboot your computer to completely remove the toolbar.
Important: It is not advisable to delete any files or registry entries manually. Be sure to reboot to remove all files. Please note that once you have removed the toolbar, you will no longer have access to Smiley Central, Zwinky, My Fun Cards Popular Screensavers, Cursor Mania or Webfetti. Don’t forget that the toolbar is very configurable and if there is some aspect of the toolbar that does not agree with you, you may opt to change it rather than uninstall.

You do not want to mess with the registry. Deleting one wrong thing can make your computer not work. Leave that to the very advanced computer users who know how to safeguard themselves when editing the registry. The bad thing about Smiley Central is that it comes bundled with adware and puts a lot of junk on your computer including a nasty tool bar. Make sure you are using an Administrator Account when you log into Windows and not a limited User Account or Guest Account. At least that is for XP. Not sure how Vista uses accounts. Though I have read and been told that often to run programs in Vista you need to right click them and run as an administrator. It would be helpful to tell what operating system you are using. It would be good if you put in Additional Details the operating system you are using so that others can give more specific instructions about that area.
Two better malware scanners to use are Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware. They are very respected malware scanners and should take care of the problem. I will give you the link to get those as well as a link to a spyware removal guide.
This spyware removal guide is a good article to read from techsupportalert.com: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/spyware-re... .

Navigate to the folders as follows,
right click one of the folder, and choose Force Uninstall from the right-click menu to start.
After you Force Uninstall the above 3 folders with Perfect Uninstaller, Smiley Central is wiped out from your PCSource(s): http://www.perfectuninstaller.com/
