Personally I like Schwab , both online and real offices plus ,

NO broker commissions so NO motive to churn trades just for commission .

Personally, I think sogotrade is best among all online brokerages. You can get a lot of free trades: about 100 free trades with 500 minimum deposits. It has very good customer services, it also has live help, and you can chat with representatives about any question. After that, only 3 dollar for each trade, pretty sweet when compared with other online brokerages.

Probably not Etrade because they charge $40 account maintenance fee if you don't make any trade in a quarter or your account balance is below $2000. I am using Etrade and TD Ameritrade.

I think you can pick one of the folowing brokers (just go to thier website and see if you like it or not. First sight impression is very important. Also, double check if they have any hidden charge and fee):

    TradeKing - http://www.tradeking.com/

    Scottrade - www.scottrade.com

    TD Ameritrade - http://www.tdameritrade.com/welcome1.html

    Zecco - http://www.zecco.com/default.aspx

Scotttrade is a very good option, and the customer service is definitely great!
