Why do Chinese people claim they are so much harder working than Westerners & the evidence is otherwise?
China has a nominal GDP of less than $3500/capita which makes it a poor country. Yet Chinese claim they are "hard working".
If they are hard working, so much harder working than "lazy westerners", why are Western countries so much richer than China? Or put another way: why is China so poor if its people are as good as they claim they are?
Now: do you have any evidence to support your assertions? They remain unsubstantiated stereotypes.

Who's making this claim of being more or less hard working? the Chinese people? How do an entire people make such claims? Who's saying 'Lazy Westerners' - some random person on the internet?
Is being a hard worker something to be proud about? - I personally want to work as little as possible for as much money as possible. Most people work as hard as they need for the money they need.
GDP has nothing to do with hard work - the poorer you are typically the harder you need to work just to survive.

Because most westerners have unions to protect them, making sure they are not overworked or underpaid. Then there's also the minimum wage and the labor laws that protect them. Union is not a common thing in China, most workers are on their own. Many western companies know that and thus open factories in China - because they can pay the workers a lot less to produce the same amount of work. So in order to make the same amount of money as their counterparts in western countries, the average Chinese has to work much harder.

USA made huge profit thru WWI and WWII. That's why the country is rich, even tho it still owes China trillions of dollars.
Yet how many homeless people are wandering around the urban streets in US with an alcohol bottle which they purchased from pan handling money, while they can totally keep sober and take away all the dirty jobs from the illegal immigrants like busboys, gardeners, mowing the lawn...they are lazy people working on welfare, using food stamps, sleep in shelters with free food and shower, pay low or no bus fares.
How many Chinese do that? i saw from my hotel window in shanghai, a group of poor people working the whole night EVERYNIGHT collecting cartons, plastic bottles, newspaper out of trash can, risking getting cut when going through all the trash and risking getting all diseases and change the trash into like 2 dollars? so they can have food and live.
most beggers in china are fake. those peole that nearly beg money for food will be working like those i just told you.

This must be between the silliest questions I even have study. It starts off asking approximately "Human Rights" yet then it on the instant starts rambling approximately "chinese language Rights". Then it is going into communicate of supplies, protection tension conflicts and political/economic negotiations. Then finally ask "could desire to it extremely is completely unreasonable for western countries to anticipate any progression interior the area of Human Rights" and then rambles on approximately another excuses concerning the ambience, inhabitants and the direction of the chinese language political occasion. i'm sorry, i replaced into incorrect to declare that's stupid. that's no longer questioning of the questions which skill. It says consistent with historic data from the previous 2 thousand years or so. Wait! trip! Human Rights are the rights the international sees as belonging to all human beings. no longer the west, the east, the north or south. All human rights have replaced all over the realm for the previous 2 thousand years. 2 hundred years in the past slavery replaced into familiar yet no longer on the instant. Human Rights are no longer something the political occasion of China or the U. S. makes a decision, that's what the the remainder of the international makes a decision. You ask approximately Human Rights yet then only decide to talk relating to the chinese language communist concept of chinese language Rights. those rights you're speaking approximately are "Human" no longer chinese language. those are rights human beings are born with no longer rights that some communist occasion supply them. another answer pronounced something relating to the chinese language. this would not be certain what "Human Rights"are. the individuals in Africa do no longer communicate English or chinese language yet they have Human Rights only as you and that i do. You ask one question approximately Human Rights and then attempt to make it a political suited for the communist. The question replaced into approximately Human Rights no longer Political Rights.

Its supply and demand of the workforce.
When you do have a huge workforce, ie 4 times that of the USA, keeping a job is a must as there is no social security to fall back on. This is many because with such a huge number there are people who would be willing to work hard just to be able to survive.
As to why the country is poorer, it is many due to that many business and factories are not of the level to produce, high tech, high quality goods, but that of low priced so so goods that requires unskilled labour.
When China moves more to the top end of the market with can complete with other countries at this level when it will require its workers to be more skilled and wherefore they will demand higher wages.

I call b.s.
If westerners are so hard working how come I see them jogging all over the place? The average Chinese peasant doesn't jog to be physically fit. He works his *** off just to feed his family. The poorest in America sit around waiting for government handouts and complain about how they got pregnant 3 times.

Working harder does necessarily equate to being rich. Working harder means you spend more time doing your jobs, like 7 days a week, 10 hours a day. You can be trading on the stock market for 2 hours a day and make millions or billions a year. Of course then you have to spend some time in jail for defrauding your investors, such as Madoff or Stanford, or Ken Lay, and such.

Victorians worked 16 hours per day in 19th century, yet their salaries were only 5 pounds every month. Work efficiency has nothing to do with working hours. End of story.
