    One small tweak that will help (not totally cure) is to stop your browser from requesting 3rd party 'assets' (those not originating from the site your browser is asking for).

    In FIREFOX: Tools> Options> Privacy: Check 'Accept Cookies from sites'

    & Un-Check 'Accept 3rd Party cookies'

    With these add-on's:

    ♦♦♦"NoScript" for Firefox will stop a lot of this adware/spyware & hijackers; and is THE single most important thing you can do to prevent most script based malware♦♦♦

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

    Also;

    Flashblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433

    Adblock Plus works pretty good too: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/186... (make sure to utilize the 'Subscriptions' from ABP 'Preferences' tab & look in ABP > Preferences> Filters> Add filter subscription> "View All Subscriptions" link @ top of window> (on the new window, select those which you'd like to add)> follow prompts.

    The list is long...look for any that will help your browse sessions be 'cleaner'.

    CCleaner

    =========

    google ccleaner and install it from the result filehippo. While it installs just untick the boxes as some programs you dont want.

    run the cleaner in windows/applications but dont tick the bottom 11 boxes in the Windows Tab.

    run the registry cleaner as well, when it asks to back up the registry , allow it to do it, then clean the registry. You should run the registry cleaner a couple of times, but you only need to save it the once.

    This will make room for firefox to work.
