    Indirect Sunlight:

Diffused light, as opposed to the direct rays of the sun, such as that on the north side of a rock or in the shade of thick woods.

Okay, you ll have to picture this. Consider a window in your house that gets sunlight. The light that comes through the window and makes the outline of the window on the floor is direct sunlight. The light that you seen in the rest of the window is indirect. You can feel the warmth of the sun when is directly on you, it warms your skin. However, indirect light is all the other light that bounces around the room and doesn't have the intensity of direct sunlight so it doesn't warm your skin, it provides ambient light and helps illuminate the area.

Indirect sunlight is when the sunlight isn't facing the Earth Directly and the ultraviolet rays aren't straight at it. Like alaska isn't getting direct sunlight.
