    HI

I have done a lot of research on this exact topic and found some neat information- and You may be able to come up with an alternative.

AS You may or may not know- IT'S NOW partnered with CBS-

here is what I found out and here are a couple options.

    CBS RADIO - http://www.cbs.com/

    AOL -part of CBS

    http://aol.com/

Download the Toolbar for quick access - it's great

    LAST.FM also has a widget

all of these work with foxytunes...

you can create your own Playlists

    http://play.it/

iN FACT- Yahoo Music uses play.it player

    now to add to this

    LAST.FM is also CBS

you can try this plugin from this site

    http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/yahoo-messenger-...

    and you can create playlists.

    Yahoo also has Foxyplayer

there is an option with winamp to use Last.fm

    Jango is another site

    http://www.jango.com/

    Web and Mobile

    http://www.dizzler.com/

    my absolute Favorite

    http://www.nutsie.com/

I have loved Launchcast forever! I had Yahoo Music Plus because i purchased the

Sandisk sansa Connect which I was able to get all of yahoo music - and still

    am.

From what I was told - Yahoo will still have the regular stations, but they are

including the PLUS stations and CBS Radio. This is what I understood, when I

was about to cancel my subscription. I cancelled at the beginning of the month,

but they charged me anyway and it is still working and NO REFUND??? This was to

    be to the 16th.

anyway I had a great Idea for those people that LOVE Playlists.

I was upset - I must admit when this was presented- I thought I SPENT ALL THAT

MONEY, AND feel i GOT LITERALLY SCREWED. I didnot see a notice from Yahoo Music Plus - and They didnt clarify that you could export your playlists

to Rhapsody, which in turn can go to Itunes.

So I HAVE FOUND A NEW WAY TO LISTEN TO MY MUSIC. i JUST GOT A NEW CELL PHONE -

    thru Alltel.

I read about this application called NUTSIE and when you scramble the letters

"ITUNES" very clever. but this website you will literally go "NUTSIE over.

nuTsie http://www.nutsie.com/ OK so what is it? a program that is compatible

with Blackberry and Alltel cellphones (there is a list)can be used on ipods and iphones, etc.

There are numerous playlists that were created and available and you can share

    these with others.

here is an example of the

    20. 100 Greates Metal Songs

I am one that LOVES music and since I lost my playlist with Yahoo... I got on

this site and those were some examples that you can export to itunes using an

application that attaches to ITUNES -CALLED SIDETUNES. attaches to Itunes on the

Left side and you just put in your login and it brings in your playlists. You

can Bring your ITUNES MUSIC INTO NUTSIE and mix up new playlists.

nutsie-: example i create a playlist ALL GEORGE STRAIGHT- I caould choose to

"add music or keep it exclusive just by increasing the slider. and if I like the

songs "Grab it" it will then go to Grab bag

and you can move the songs to your playlist - but this is great when you are

    just listening.

This gives you opportunity to mix your lists with OTHER music available on

ITUNES and now here is the best part:

YAHOO MESSENGER HAS AN APPLICATION -and I use Yahoo alot!!!

and did you know that if you use MIRC you can use itunes too?

... so you can listen to itunes music while on yahoo messenger

Tunes Remote ( Add to Navigation Trail)

    http://gallery.yahoo.com/apps/2769/locale/en

    Yahoo! Messenger Team

iTunes remote for Yahoo! Messenger. Note: you need to have iTunes installed in

    order to use this plug-in.

    Language Neutral | 64386 Downloads

You can still show what music is playing using the application called TWITTER

    TUNES

I was also on a website called iLike and found that it also attaches to ITUNES

(R SIDE) and I had many likes and music choices there... Still working on how

    that synchronizes with Itunes

    MORE PLUSES!!!

FOXYTUNES WORKS AND I ALSO DISCOVERED A NEW FIREFOX with "skins" to change the

    look.

    http://www.foxytunes.com/

Remember - Foxytunes is a Yahoo Music Company!! I was just trying to make use

of all of this stuff! for IE and FIREFOX and FLOCK!

YAHOO MESSENGER (HAS TWITTER PLUG-IN TOO)

    THIS IS NEW TWITTER DJ

    http://www.foxytunes.com/twitterdj

i have more to add-- bit dont be depressed!as you know itunes has soooo many

    options!

but one thing to remember is if you have an ipod-- CHECK OUT NUTSIE first and

    get the playlists for FREE.

    ilike sidebar information

    Download the iLike Sidebar

For iTunes and Windows Media Player

Concert alerts and new music from your favorite artists

Free MP3s from new artists who match your tastes

Share your playlists on any Web page or on Facebook

Sure I am bummed, I hope last.fm or playlists.com become a way for customized

music. I have been trying to think of other ways to enjoy the music i like and

not spend amy money. THE ONLY $ I HAVE SPENT IS 20.00 FOR 1 YR OF NUTSIE TO MY

    CELLPHONE FROM ALLTEL.

I have numerous playlists and the best part is that music is constantly added

and I share playlists with other people!

hope this all made sense ! it works for me!!!

The "My Station" feature went away when CBS Radio took over. Like you, I tried over & over to access it after upgrading to the latest messenger (I was running 7 until they said it was no longer supported) & was highly disappointed. I hope they bring it back soon.
