Hamsters DO blink! They normally blink (or wink) one eye at a time. Its not a regular thing but they do it.I've seen it myself with some of my hamsters in the past.

    Blink,and you miss it!

they dont normally blink often as they have a natural lubricant layer on their eyes which keeps it moisturised. However, due to the large amount of time spent sleeping or having a nap and getting up for a couple of minutes, their eyes are closed for a large proportion of their life. Another reason is that because they are nocturnal animals, they are usually awake at night which means there is less light available to dry out their eyes meaning there is little loss of moisture and it is therefore not necessary to blink.

    Hope that helped

I don't know either. I heard that hamsters do not blink but only blink as a sign of independence.

Mother nature design their eyes not to blink so they can use it to detect predators. In the wild they are the center of the food web. One blink may cause their death.
