24th STS objectives.?

Question

I just have a general question about the main objectives about the 24th STS. The 24th STS operates as apart of JSOC, sometimes along with DEVGRU and Delta Force on some missions I've heard, but what is their primary objective/role for participating in JSOC? For instance, I've heard that they can act in the manner of staying in their mission area for extended periods of time disguised until the right time for the mission to be enacted. Is this true?

There's a reason there isn't much information on the web or elsewhere about the 24th STS.
