Wow. Don't be offended by what other people say on here, they have long been ego tripping.
I am 17, only one year older than another poster who said she is 16, and am in no way offended by your question. I realize that sometimes people need lubrication.
I do not feel like this is an inappropriate question for the horse section. You used clean words such as "intimate" and you don't get into too more detail than necessary to understand your question. Yes some people are 12 on here. But being "intimate" with your husband is not a bad thing or inappropriate. It is the way of life. I wouldn't feel wrong talking about the general subject (not my personal experiences) in front of anyone of any age. It is something they will find out about, and should know about from the start.
Anyway, I agree with what someone else said, try using a silicon base lube instead of a water base. Try your best to find something to suit your needs that is made for humans, just to be on the safe side. Good luck.
"Horse people aren't nearly as friendly as everyone says."
That sickens me that immature people on here put that thought in the head of a bystander. NOT ALL OF US ARE SO IMMATURE. Please try not to generalize; everyone is different in every group in life. And I am sorry that some people were so rude. You did not deserve that.
Good idea, take your advice and please dont say more. I know about lube because I watch tv, over hear people talk at school, and I live in the real world. I am not living in a box or a desert island. Because that is the only place you could be without ever hearing about people being "intimate" or about lube. I am not embarrassed to know these things, nor do I think I should be sheltered from it. There is nothing wrong with it.
"Duhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!" .......... Seriously?
