how are aerosols bad for the ozone?

At one point in time aerosol cans used CFC's (Chloronated Fluro Carbons) as a propellant (the gas used to force the liquid out as a spray). It was mainly the CFC's which attack and destroy ozone that was the problem.
Now a days you have to look at what is being sprayed. You could have a product like Brake cleaner which contains PCE & TCE or some other volatile chemical that can be a problem. Otherwise the aerosol is not a problem to the Ozone
