Question about mobile messenging apps?
I have a smart phone, but don't have a texting plan. I've been looking around for mobile messengers like AIM, but are there any apps that wouldn't charge me for texting if I use it?
Also I have wifi, so can I use the regular AIM by going to the website without getting charged?

If you use a mobile messenging client, such as Fring, you use the data-connection to chat, so you are not charged for texting, but for data-usage, depending on your plan. And, if you are connected via wifi, you are not charged at all for using Fring (or any others).Source(s): iPhone tips -> http://www.icantinternet.org/2008/11/iphone-tips/
