Everest College at Burr Ridge, Illinois, is a campus of Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (CCi), a large FOR-PROFIT, post-secondary education company with headquarters in North America. The focus of the schools in the CCi network is short-term, career training in a variety of popular programs. Students at these institutions seek to quickly acquire the knowledge and skills they need to gain employment or to attempt to move up the "economic ladder."

In order for U.S. students to receive government-sponsored financial aid, the campuses of Corinthian Colleges, Inc. must be accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
That said, the accreditation, in the main, is for financial aid purposes. Financial aid is not guaranteed. The quality of CCi schools is no more nor less than that of any for-profit, post-secondary career training institution. Unlike traditional post-secondary institutions, CCi's institutions provide an education that is focused on the job-oriented needs of nontraditional students.
Everest College at Burr Ridge is a place for career training. You will be trained, and you will receive assistance in getting a job; however, if your expectation is to receive traditional academic recognition for your certificate or degree, the colleges of CCi, including Everest College at Burr Ridge, Illinois, are simply not designed for you.
