he is half way right. that happens, look at dog the bounty hunter. he was racist to a tee and his show went right back on the air, why? cause the people that watch his show can understand him. he was saying something most of them wanted to say but social will get brutalized. My biggest theory why its different is this.
Lets say you work with two people only, one is a manager, the other is a co-worker. Who do you care more if they are racist or not? the co-worker who has nothing to do with how much you make and doesn't even write your evals or you manager who can promote you (lets just say in this 3 person job they had room for it)? And speaking racially wise. Who do you there are more managers of? black people or white people. How many black ceo's do you really think there are? When people mention rich black people usually it has something to do with movies, music or sports. A place where money overrides racism any day! But you walk up even your lowest of lowest of jobs you want to try down play racism as much as possible.
And even sports they are the players. People hear about those huge contracts the lebron james is getting but what about the money that the owners are getting? And very few of those owners are black. jay-z and nelly half way own teams. And they don't own franchises like the L.A lakers or the dallas cowboys!
Now i dont think every white person is racist. But if you asking which racist is worse. Well, one in this country usually hold power and authority and the other one doesn't! So you tell me which one is worse?
And your friend is only right cause culturely blacks like to stand out, big rims, flashing money, jewelry (remember the 80's) and white people like to keep it simple (they are just now getting cars with rims on them, hell some dealers ships sell them stock), just one watch, usually not that much jewerly (unless they are women). So they arent really blunt about anything.
