When you recover from a viral infection, do you have temporary immunity from it afterwards?

    Typically, yes. You're body just finished training itself to defend against it.

    However other factors like stress and uncleanliness can cause the infection to revisit...sometimes in a mutated form.

    You have more or less permanent immunity from most viral infections.

    Most likely- from that strain. Viruses are always changing and mutating, so there will always be a new one around the corner that you're not immune to, but you will be protected from that particular one.
