Poll: Do you know some good kids' chapter books?
I'm trying to remember all the good stuff I read back in elementary school. Here's what me and my sister have come up with so far (a list of titles, series, and authors).
Hank the Cowdog
The Magic Treehouse
The Littles
Roald Dahl
The Plant that Ate Dirty Socks
Little House on the Prairie
Tales of a fourth Grade Nothing
Anne of Green Gables
Sharon Creech
The Boxcar Children
Shel Silverstein
Charlotte's Web
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
White Fang
The Call of the Wild
Stone Fox
A Mouse Called Wolf
Stuart Little
Beverly Cleary
Judy Bloom
The Mouse on the Motorcycle
The Secret of NIMH
The Magic Schoolbus
The Chronicles of Narnia
Sideways Stories from Wayside School
The Swiss Family Robinson
Do you know of any more that aren't on the list? I know I read way more than that back then... (Goosebumps doesn't count. I never really liked those. They weren't horribly scary, just horribly lame.)
By the way, Dr. Seuss does not count either! Those aren't chapter books, and hardly count as good literature for 2nd/3rd graders and on.
