I would like to make a photo book of my son for the grandparents. Any suggestions?
My mom and I would like to work on it together, ideally hosted online since we live far apart. When finished, we'd have a 15-20 page book that we'd be able to give to grandparents/great-grandparents. I wouldn't want to break the bank with this because I'd like to do it almost every year for a while now.

You don’t have to have Adobe Photoshop or any specialized software. Just go to CropMom (http://www.cropmom.com),/ register and log in. Then upload your photos to the My Photos page. Click Get Started, and you can start making digital scrapbook pages. It’s free to use.
CropMom offers thousands of high-end digital scrapbook graphics for you to use in your pages. You can choose from a selection of standard digital scrapbook canvas sizes. You can add your own text. You can place, rotate and resize photos and scrapbook graphics to create your own work of art.
CropMom lets you download the low-resolution JPEG file of your layout for free for sharing on the Web or for e-mailing to friends and family. You can purchase the high-resolution JPEG of your layout for a small fee for high-quality printing at home or by a photofinisher.Source(s): http://www.cropmom.com/

A nice trip maybe but not so long, or a wedding picture of them restored and on a canvas if you have enough time, you can get a throw with their wedding year and information on it. See when you have been married that long you have mostly gotten everything and I would give them a relaxing day with a nice dinner and a throw or picture since they have Alzheimer's it may trigger his memory. And going out of town may not be too good so a nice family get together and exchange gifts so that way he can see his family and reminisce on old stories and see how well he may remember and what he remembers. Good luck.
