Canon 40d vs Nikon D80?
I am buying a dslr and i wanted to know what i should go for.
1. Canon 40D 17-85 IS USM
2. Nikon D80 18-135
So which deal should i go for?

40D. they're extremely comparable, however the 40D has 6 frames in line with 2d rather of three. The D80 has 2 extra AF factors yet i might plenty rather have the quicker fps. different than that they are just about a similar. determine you like Canon until eventually now you place money into it although. And the 40D is plenty extra suitable than the D60.

The 40D has weatherproofing via a magnesium alloy body, higher ISO, faster burst rate, and is just an overall better camera. Inside and out.
I think the D80 has also been discontinued.Source(s): To the gentleman that had to respond to the weatherproofing comment; "Shock, Dust and Weather Resistant" on the Canon promo materials "...upgraded dust and weather-resistant construction, particularly around the camera's connection ports, battery compartment, and single-slot compact flash (CF) memory card door...." directly from Canon.

I would choose the 40D. I would like to point out, however, that the 40D is NOT weatherproof.
