Have you read this statement by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists?

With the release of the revised statement by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 2007, no remaining scientific body of national or international standing is known to reject the basic findings of human influence on recent climate change.

The only scientists left are the ones resistant to change or taking money under the table.

You obviously didn't really read it.

"Certain climate simulation models predict that the warming trend will continue, as reported through NAS, AGU, AAAS, and AMS. AAPG respects these scientific opinions, but wants to add that the current climate warming projections could fall within well-documented natural variations in past climate and observed temperature data."

This recent change in temperature could be a natural variation because it is within range of natural variations of the past.

"AAPG supports expanding scientific climate research into the basic controls on climate specifically including geological, solar, and astronomical aspects of climate change. Research should include understanding causes of past climate change and the potential effects of both increasing and decreasing temperatures in the future."

They would like the other aspects of our climate to be included in research, not what CO2 is "causing". While some models do use data that includes other natural causes, they limit their impact on temperature ranges.

"AAPG supports research to narrow probabilistic ranges on the effect of anthropogenic CO2 on global climate."

The ranges being given on future warming are too vast, narrow it down to a realistic range.

Basically, they don't want to state that global warming is because of CO2 or not because of CO2. They want to do further research before they make their official statement about "global warming".

There are still people out there who believe smoking isn't a health risk and that pollution can't cause problems. As long as the people causing the problems can keep buying legislators and media personnel to support their causes there will be people willing to believe what they say. There will always be those "some" people whom you can fool all of the time.

I think the winter just gone had to be the coldest i can remember, I know you love the planet and think that we are to blame for the GW but were not, Carbon is a natural thing, its everywhere, the more of it there is the faster the trees grow, the sea produces more than we ever could, google it. dont listen to these companies or politicians who are going to make mega money from this global warmng con. the sun heats us, if the heat was getting trapped last winter wouldn have been so cold!

Did you bother to read it and do you understand what it said? Apparently NOT. It said they disagree on how much CO2 affects the climate. I think the vast majority thinks it has an effect. The question is whether the effect is a knat on an elephant's butt (probably the majority of geologist's opinion) or whether it is something significant (certainly in the vast minority). I do find it extremely annoying that these organizations always seem to dance around these stupid pronouncement that have no scientific validity and are totally political.

quite the opposite, very very few scientist accept the theory of global warming, and the few that do are the ones paid under the table.

Global warming is a poltical science, it is not a true.

It's a scam for ignorant people that believe everything they see on TV or in the movies

"We have all been told that the UN boasts the signatures of 2,000 plus scientists who support the UN's claim that Global Warming is a proven scientific fact, and that it is CO2, and in particular man made CO2 that is to blame. However, what we are not told is that a staggering 17,000 of the worlds leading scientists have signed a petition, and currently, October 2008 - 31,000 American Scientists are signatories to a new and ongoing petition, refuting these claims, and openly accuse the UN of altering its findings for political ends."

Yup, we've known that for years. Nothing new.

I wonder how many billions the government is paying them to study global warming or find ways to sequester CO2. No one pays them to not accept propaganda. .
