The presidential election in America is held once every four years. A politician can serve up to two terms. There are many organizations and departments in the American government--each serving a purposeful function. Each local government official is elected by his/her own people and, in turn, works for the people. The government officials each have various authoritative duties. This way, the various departments of the government can take on their own responsibilities.
