KeyWest only worth staying for 2 or 3 days max, there isn't much there. Downtown is only 5 blocks.
- US South most point.
- Duval st., Eaton St.
- Maritime museum
- Keywest cemetery
- Waterfront market
- Hemingway's house
- And i remember there is a ice cream shop near downtown, their keylime ice cream (not pie) was SO GOOD, both my gf and I cannot forget it... but we forgot the shop's name. We just remember the owner (a woman in her 40s) has a schnitzel dog always sits in the front of the shop.
For scuba diving, I forgot which dive shop I joined, but they need you to be certified of PADI OW. I have dived few places in US/Mexico, and Keywest dive is the BEST dive I had so far. lots to see, lots to explorer, MUST GO (if you are PADI OW certified).
If you just want to snorkel on the beach, Smather's beach is ok, kinda dirty, found few huge conchs and lots sea urchin when I snorkeled there, and saw a baby tiger shark.
The food in Keywest isn't worth mentioning, nothing special, very typical American food, sea food is typical too.
I didn't go sports fishing, but I saw a return charter caught a fish that's about 1 meter long.
I didn't get chance to visit Miami last time, but probably has lots things to see too, lots Latin(Cuba, Mexico) culture there.Source(s): self
