Wedding Dresses on a budget?

Does anyone know where I can find a wedding gown on a budget near the dfw area? I have been to Davids Bridal and I am not spending 800.00 on a dress. I am built like an upside down pyramid as you could say.I am very bust heavy but smaller in the waist.Im trying to find something of a princess dress.Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thankyou

Truthfully, unless you're really lucky and walk into a store at the right time and find the dress on an amazing sale, your best bet is the internet. Now although e-bay has some beautiful wedding dresses for only $50, it may not be the most reliable source.

Your safest bet is somewhere like

    http://www.bestbridalprices.com/

and you can get something lovely for under $200 THE SAME DRESS as you would pay $1500 for in a store.

I bought a dress on sale in a store for $500 dollars and nobody notices that it was stained on the back where someone had pricked their finger, plus it was very big on me. By the time it was resized and cleaned it would end up costing me over $1000, so I had to pay full price to get a new one brought in. Be very careful if you find something on sale, and even more careful still about 'add-on' costs. The may want to charge you $400 dollars for an alteration and up to $300 if any cleaning needs to be done.

The nice thing about this website is that everything is BRAND NEW, never tried on in a store, and they are accountable for the quality of the dress.

Go dress shopping at local shops, find a few dresses you like, figure out what style # the dress is and what size you would need, and then go find it on ebay. I paid $550 for a $1400 dress in the store, but then found the same dress on ebay for $250. (Obviously, I was not thrilled that I had purchased it from the store). Also look up www.preownedweddingdresses.com They have great dresses and great deals! (Watch your shipping prices though!) Good luck and congrats!

I found one at David's Bridal for $300. I found nothing at the first, found a great dress at another. Since they sell off the rack each location ends up with different dresses in the sizes that fit.

Honestly? I would try ebay or craigslist. Or even try finding online people selling their used wedding dresses. I hope this as helped.
