Why are christians excited about heaven?

never have i been presented with an image of heaven that makes it seem a place that i would like to spend eternity. it's all about basking in god's glory (borrrrring) and apparently (according to a recent question) god takes away your freewill upon arrival. not to mention that i've been told that... show more never have i been presented with an image of heaven that makes it seem a place that i would like to spend eternity.

it's all about basking in god's glory (borrrrring) and apparently (according to a recent question) god takes away your freewill upon arrival. not to mention that i've been told that there is no need for FOOD or SEX in heaven. i'll assume that also means no drinks, and you won't remember some/many of your loved ones.

what's there to be excited about?

and yes, atheists, i'm aware that heaven doesn't exist, but if it did, why would i want to go there?
