what all dodge transmissions will a 440 bolt up to?

i recently got ahold of a 1970 mopar 440 engine & im wondering-will it bolt up to any of the transmissions from anything after 1980?


all i want to know is if i can get a 80's truck with a 318 or 360 & bolt this 440 up to the transmission

    the above answer is good - but aware that there are different lengths of transmissions depending on what they were used in

    An '80's truck transmission from a 318 or 360 will NOT bolt up to a 440.

    The 318 and 360 are A-engines and the 440 is a B-engine, actually a RB (raised block).

    Internal pieces for the truck transmission and the 440 transmission are very similar but externally they are different.

    Yes the federal 727 automatic, will bolt up TCI makes a 727 available at their website for your car,and you can specify the stall you want in your torque converter

    Chrysler makes two bolt patterns for the bell housing,small block and big block. Internals are the same.
