Winter solstice- December 21, 2012 - is just the revealing of the 'antichrist' or the 'man of perdition' at the mid-point of what Christians call the 7 year Tribulation (just subtract 1260 days to get the start and add 1260 days to get the end). Satanists and many pagan cultures from every corner of the world all throughout history have celebrated this like the Sumerians, Babylonians, Cherokee, Hopi, Chinese I-Ching (confirmed by Terence McKenna), Mayans (Pacal Votan; Chilam Balam of Tizimin, Mani, Chumayel; Jaguar Prophet), Egyptians, Celts, etc. This evil event is called "the abomination that causes desolation" that will be set up in the Jewish Temple's Holy of Holies when the antichrist is imbued with the spirit of satan himself. When will Jesus come? Only God Himself knows exactly, but very soon in "the twinkling of an eye" and like "a thief in the night". If you believe or not, that is up to you; either way it still comes.

Things to look for to PROVE it to yourself soon:

    >Fall of America as an economic power and other ways. The buying up and consolidation of powerful banks and corporations by the government in a pretend "bail out" power grab to kill the U.S. dollar and bring in a one world currency.

Christians look forward to this as it means they will soon join their Saviour & Redeemer in the Millennial Kingdom of the next Age and their Heavenly Father later as "Children of Light". If you try to equate 2012 with Y2K or some other date that cried wolf, then you will be making the worst mistake of your lifetime. Research all these things FOR YOURSELF!

December 21, 2012 is supposedly said to mark the end of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calender. This, being said, is the speculated date the world is going to end. But, chew on this for a moment:

THE MAYAN CALENDER IS REPRESENTED BY A CIRCLE.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but a circle is infinite... there is no end to it. The most this could be is the end of a VERY long year for the Mayans, and their descendants should be flipping out because they have to go buy another 36,000 year calender.

Plus, countless of other times in history, people have predicted that the world will end. And has it? NOOO. The only recorded event where most of the population was wiped out was the story of Noah's Ark, in the bible, and some don't even believe that. (I do, but that's irrelevant.) Skeptics will find some sort of "evidence" about this in a phone book if that's all that is available... anything to bring some drama or make a quick buck, you know.

I used to be scared sh**less, at the fact that I wouldn't even hit the legal US drinking age (21) before the world ended. But now that I read more into it, I honestly don't think it's going to happen. Maybe it will, maybe it won't... who knows.

But on December 22, 2012, if we're still alive, I'm throwing a huge party, and you're all invited. BYOB (:

The Mayan Calandar is having the equivalent of their own y2k in 2012. Time isn't ending like many have said. The universe ending in 2012 is like saying a car will fall apart when the odometer switches over from 99,999 to 100,000 miles. Sure, we humans have put a lot of mileage on the planet, and things could fall apart at any time, but 2012 is meaningless. Dates are really arbitrary whether they are based on the Julian calendar, the Mayan calendar, or the Hebrew calendar.

First, there was all this Hal Lindsey stuff about the world ending in the 1980's. Then there was the Y2K stuff. Now the world is ending in 2012. Give us a break!

People are taking advantage of those foolish enough to believe them to make a buck. Even the Bible says we don't know when the end will come.

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, [fn] but My Father only. But as the days of Noah [were], so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."

I think there is a good possibility that we don't have a lot of time, so live every day like the world might end tomorrow. Of course, Martin Luther said that if he knew the world was ending tomorrow, he would plant a tree.

I do know that an alignment is to take place on that date, between the black hole in our galaxy and our sun. make of that what you will given the physics involved, when you consider how the phases of our moon react with our tides and human emotions.

From what I understand of the 2012 prediction, the Mayans calender stopped there. that does not mean that the fate of the world is to end, they suggested or predicted that the earth would see some major changes.

what i believe is that the alignment will take place and there might be some problems for us on earth, but not to the extent that some people are making out.

you know, im actually starting to hope its all true.

the whole world is just so messed up. maybe if it ended and we all died, at least one good thing would come out of it: all the suffering would end once and for all.

but ur probably right, its probably just a stupid myth. i mean its not like its the first time the world has been predicted to end (year 2000, 2006). but you should google it and read about nostradamus and the mayan calendar. even if its not true its still kinda interesting! (=

2012 is a twelve months, to have the skill to upward thrust up. although, all of this end of the international commerce is delusion. What approximately the Y2K? human beings mentioned that science became into as quickly as going to fail in accordance with how the concepts taken care of numbers (I bypass over precisely what it became into as quickly as)...and look, appropriate right here we are, using computers and the internet. no longer something crashed, nukes did no longer circulate off, there became into as quickly as no infamous Y2K computer virus. we are basing this "end of the international" stuff off of the undeniable fact that the Mayans stopped making calendars.

From a scientific point of view consider this. The magnetic is suppose to reverse like it always does every few thousand years or so. So north is going to be south and south will be north. The last time this happened was before the ice age. Will it happen again? Was Nostradomus (or however you spell it) really seeing something like that? What about the Myan calender? What will happen when the magnetic field reverses?

yes, I totally agree with you, it is stupid. they predicted it was going to end in 2000 too, and here we are, 9 years later. I would say it is a myth, mostley because they are thinking that "planet X" is going to crash into the earth on that day, because the mayan calander ends on this day or something, so don't believe in it. like if you really think about it, that theory is NO SENSE!! if you go to youtube and type in "planet X" a lot of videos will come up with explanations, and all of them are different. if it is said to be true, god forbid, just live life well you can!

It seems funny, you know, that this guy named dmitro birukov, a christian theologist predicted that the 47th president would screw america up. The thing is that elections will take place again in 2012, and if Obama doesn't make it to his 2nd term, then we'll have our 47th president in year 2012.

Nobody's gonna make you believe it, but I wouldn't ignore it either...

a guy named nostradomis predicted that the Jews would be killed by a man named Hisler; 1 letter away. Also he predicted that the world would end in 2012 because of nuclear weapons.
