I think concepts of good and evil have evolved and are not created by man nor God.
Good perhaps derived from the love of offspring, family, tribe and nation, the purpose being security and survival by numbers, in a hostile world of predators. Mankind is perhaps the only species that has taken the notion of good beyond the tribal stage, i.e. where all members are known to one and other.
Evil is perhaps derived from the hate of other humans motivated by greed, the desire for land, food and security, rarely with offspring or within family, but more frequently within tribe, and nationally and internationally by war, and again for the perceived purposes of security and survival.
Our idea of good is seen in other species, a lioness caring for it's cubs; and that of evil, when a lion takes over a pride and kills all the cubs to promote his genes only.
