我想問idom受唔受tense的影響,即係如果我用緊past tense作文,咁成句idom會唔會轉tense

(Action speaks louder than words)會唔會變成(Action spoke louder than words)

    Action speaks louder than words

    「行動勝於雄辯」, 或者「行動勝於空談」 (即是行動最實際)

Actions spoke louder than words today as Blue Ridge Earth First! (BREF!) and Mountain Justice (MJ) blockaded Dominion’s Richmond Headquarters early this morning.

but when the sun rose up this morning

my baby kissed me on the mouth (rose = past tense)

Why does the Sun rise in the east and set in the west? (Present tense)

bore somebody to death 令人生厭/ 感覺乏味 (悶死人)

to make someone lose interest completely Herman was bored to death by the stories Arlie told. (was = past tense)

We normally do not change tense of an idiom. However, it depends how and where it is used.

Please tell us more than the idiom itself before we can help.
