gaberial came to mary and told her she was having the son of god,i think its in mathew

    mathew 1,versus 18-25

18 This was how the birth of Jesus Christ took place. His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they were married, she found out that she was going to have a baby by the Holy Spirit. 1.18: Lk 1.2719 Joseph was a man who always did what was right, but he did not want to disgrace Mary publicly; so he made plans to break the engagement privately. 20 While he was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife. For it is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived. 21 She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus — because he will save his people from their sins.” 1.21: Lk 1.3122 Now all this happened in order to make what the Lord had said through the prophet come true, 23 “A virgin will become pregnant and have a son, and he will be called Immanuel” (which means, “God is with us”). 1.23: Is 7.14 (LXX)24 So when Joseph woke up, he married Mary, as the angel of the Lord had told him to do. 25 But he had no sexual relations with her before she gave birth to her son. And Joseph named him Jesus. 1.25: Lk 2.21

Oh dear ... here we go again. "Christ" is a title, not a name. It was a title given to a person foretold of in the prophets writings, e.g. Isaiah 53. This is why Jesus had other titles such as "Son of David" and "Son of Man".

If you look at the prophecy in 2 Sam 7:11-15 you will see it is obvious that the "Son of David" is human, but also God is his father. There is a technical term for this, it is "incarnate", which roughly translates as "half man half god". There is no mention here of "the Christ" being an Angel.

Jesus Christ is not an angel as angels are spiritual beings created to serve God.

Jesus is God, he preexisted His human birth where He took upon Himself flesh and He is one with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.

As for Bible verses, you will find none that support that Jesus was an angel, unless you read from some corrupted version that does not align with the original "Koine" Greek texts or unless you twist verses completely out of context.

don't think there's a real answer to that. only several angels are ever named between the two testaments and those are simply Michel,Gabriel, and well the other(s) escape me at the moment.

also the idea that the "role" of Jesus was that of some common angel is almost an insult to the faith. the idea being that Jesus was part of God therefor making the trinity and making Jesus the true Savior.

as christens we worship jesus as our lord when we've been instructed to worship only the one true god, so Jesus would have to be a physical form of god himself, not an angel playing a part...

you're superb. I learn up on many stuff and located those issues out too. Former Muslims have written books as properly as people who be attentive to them properly and that they tell that the mild quite shined whilst Jesus got here into their lives, and that Mohammad is a pretend prophet. they might not could desire to pass around threatening people each and every of the time the way they do in the event that they weren't fake and satanic the two.

He is referred to as the Angel of the Lord and it is usually in caps. He wrestled with Jacob and then gave him the blessing calling him by the name of Israel for the first time.

The Angel of the Lord is all through the Old Testament

Jdg 6:12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

That one is where He is talking to Gideon. Read the rest of that chapter.

The Angel of the Lord also spoke to Abraham when discussing what He was about to do with Sodom and Gomorrah.

This is how the preincarnate Jesus spoke to people in the Old Testament. Yes He created the angels. He took on a physical form to communicate with certain people. In that respect He was referred to as the Angel of the Lord.

The bible makes it clear that Jesus was/is not an angel. He created the angels.

one of the denominations that call themselves Christians believes it was Michael but I can't remember which one.

edit: for the record I am not one of them. Jesus Is God- a part of the trinity. He created the angels.

Found it--- It's the JW's that think that!!
