Erm, plants do not feel pain, they do not have a brain, or a nervous system.. They are rooted into the ground, what would be the purpose of pain? How does a plant enjoy life? Does a plant even have a desire for life? How can you compare slaughtering an animal and hanging it up by it's legs to steaming vegetables..? Not only that but most plants are exact genetic copies of each other, they are just clones, animals and humans however all have different DNA and are self aware. A dog will love you more than itself.. However, plants are unconscious and i don't think plants can love or feel pain. Technically, yes it is a living thing, but bacteria is a living thing too.. I know that animals die because of plantations, but, the meat industry contributes to global warming and does the environment lots of bad. Land was also destroyed so you could live in a house and drive on motorways, and so you could write on paper. So don't try to find a loop in our lifestyle, so that you can call us hypocrites, or justify what you do, because the truth is, eating plants only does a lot less harm. Not only that but it is more beneficial. Any doctor knows that meat is bad for you, eat that broccoli. Besides, Fish is an animal, it might not be able to scream, but that is because it lives underwater. Now, when you smash rocks, they make noise right, OMG, ROCK EXPLOITATION, do yuh think so? O: I don't think you can be a vegetarian for ethical reasons when you eat Fish..
