Oh, I know I am not nice. I do not intentionally try to be rude, I can be blunt and opinionated but do try to accept others without judging. I have responded emotionally to other yahoo-ers on occasion, I get annoyed when people try to attack the validity of my answer, I've got no reason to lie and am a very forthright person, this has provoked inappropriate responses from me that I am not proud of, and when called out, I have even apologized.
I think its rude to egg on other yahoo-ers who are picking on someone else for different views, I think asking and answering questions about a particular yahoo-er is rude, and I think getting absurd emails from people attacking you for your views is rude.
I got one email a few months back saying that I look foolish and to stop citing certain websites (basically telling me to change my answers), I answered with its my first ammendment right to look 'foolish' if I so choose and that was that, that one I found amusing
I have no problem though telling a 20 yr old why its not ok to be a cutter and tell her you have no insight into your problems, no degree of healing can take place until you do, you need help and this dysfunction can not continue in a healthy relationship. I am certain that to the person this is rude, but its the truth as far as my opinion and my medical professional expertise however I don't view this as rude when the question asked why do people have a problem with my cutting when I have problems?
