Well, if you save the file as .ppt, it will work with powerpoint 2003, but something would be gone such as the Smartart or some stylized font. Only powerpoint 2007 has these special effects. They will turn to solid picture when shown on powerpoint 2003.

To view ppt2007 on 2003 with no difference, you have following choices.

1)Download a MS Compatibility Pack for Office 2007, it is FREE to use. Just install it on your computer, and you can view the 2007 presentation with no difficulty.

    Download here

2)Upload your presentation to http://www.authorstream.com or some other slide sharing website, your can view the presentation online

    3)Download powerpoint 2007 viewer.

4)Convert your PowerPoint presentation to Flash.

Using some 3rd party presentation to transfer your ppt presentation to flash.

    Such as: http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash-pro.ht...

The Flash format is most widely compatible: SWF or Flash files are compatible with most operating systems (platforms) and most devices, including handheld devices. Then you do not need to worry about the compatibility of different version of PowerPoint.

Make sure you save the file down a version—I think the Save As will say something like Microsoft Powerpoint 1997-2003. You can't just use a 2007 file as is, because Microsoft changed things in such a way that older versions cannot use the newer versions. 2007 Powerpoint files will be .pptx. So you need to save it as the older version, which will show as .ppt. Note that if you use any special effects or other items that are new with 2007, they may not work in the earlier version, so try to keep things simple.

That should work. Just use .ppt to save your Powerpoint Presentation.

PPT97-2003 does not recognize the new Smart Art graphics and visual objects that are available in PPT2007 and will convert them to bitmaps to maintain their appearance. Certain aspects of bitmaps can’t be changed such as line width, fill color and other PPT2007 specific properties.
