Carol Hall was in her office at the small airport in Stoke Hamlet, near Oxford. Her colleague Mark Barton was with her. She looked out of the window and said to him: “Look out there! What’s that crazy pilot doing?”

A single-engine plane was moving along the runway in the wrong direction. It narrowly missed another aircraft that was landing. The plane then changed direction and raced towards a building, missing it by inches. Then it took off. “We couldn’t work out what was going on, said Carol. A moment later, they found out. The pilot ran into their office “He looked really desperate,” said Mark. “He frightened us.”

“Do you know whose plane that is?” asked Carol. “ it’s mine!” he yelled. “Bout it took off by itself! What can I do?

What actually happened…..

The pilot was traveling by himself and had landed at Stoke Hamlet when his Cessna aircraft began having mechanical problems. Moments after the plane landed, it stalled on the runway, so he got out. He then tried to restart it by turning the propeller. Suddenly the engine started and the plane began to taxi across the airfield. “it just got away from him and took off,” Carol explained.

A police plane followed the Cessna on its solo journey. It reached 12,000 feet and then began to circle over the town of Wallingford. It finally crashed in a field when it ran out of fuel.

Carol Hall was in her office at the small airport in Stoke Hamlet, near Oxford. Her colleague Mark Barton was with her. She looked out of the window and said to him: “Look out there! What’s that crazy pilot doing?”(她看著窗外然後對她同事說:你看外面,那個瘋狂的駕駛在幹嘛?)

“He frightened us.”(他嚇到了我們。)“Do you know whose plane that is?” asked Carol. (Carol問他說:你知道那架飛機是誰的嗎?)“ it’s mine!” he yelled. (他大叫說:是我的!)“But it took off by itself! What can I do?

    What actually happened…(原來事情是這麼一回事:)
