Can the U.S. congress "prohibit...protests, petitions, boycotts" etc.?? (The G.I.V.E Act...aka..H.R. 1388)?

This bill has already passed the house. But this new amendment seems very unconstitutional in nature.

Now we REALLY know who they're working for, and it's not us! Then they need to make a law prohibiting lobbyists from doing the same thing!

Watch, the next thing you know, they'll stop posting what they're working on, so we won't know any better. We can't have a revolution fast enough to satisfy me.

EDIT Thanks for the heads up! I just sent an email to my senator. I told her if she voted yes, i wasn't going to vote for her in 2010, and I'd make sure everyone I know votes her down too.

EDIT The bastards passed it today; time to go huntin' to see if my senator voted for it or not.

I asked this question twice in the past 2 days with minimal response!

I don't know if people think this is no big deal or if this issue to too complex for them?

This is a big deal and everyone needs to write their congressmen and senators ASAP and say no on the new proposals like HR1444.

We don't need American to be like Nazi Germany!

    Keep up the good work!

Yes that is a blatant and obviously intentional assault on freedom of speech and civil liberties in this country. The media won't report it, so get the word out.

BTW. Did you know that the MANDATORY SERVICE wording that removed from the G.I.V.E. bill before it passed has found its way into another bill? I'll get the link and return.

    EDIT

HR 1444. I posted the link and some quotes from the bill in this recent Yahoo Answers question.

if the senate doesn't strangle it in its crib, the president needs to veto the MESS out of it...failing that, it will be quickly challenged in federal court and will be struck down as unconstitutional...
