剛才看見訊息

新的 UBUNTU beta 9.04 版需要硬體條件如下

RAM 1.8GB

CPU 0 Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @2.53GHz

CPU 1 Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @2.53GHz = 4核心

HDD 160GB

天哪，這簡直是另一套的 Vista 吃資源大王！

請問

可有右簡單又好用的 UBUNTU ？

用Ubuntu不如用Debian

為什麼呢?

因為，Debian才是Ubuntu的本家

而且對新手來講反而更好

1. 穩定

測試期都是長達2年的，會依照它的分家

Buntu系列，Android，等等之類的feedback來做修正

2. Bug少

幾乎所有套件裝好就可以使用了

而且出錯率極低

這對新手而言，才是最大的福音

不用為了在那想著我要怎麼修Bug....

3. 套件數量多

達 25113 套(共5片DVD)

4. OS的support度比Ubuntu高

Ubuntu的32位元只能抓到4GB記憶體

但Debian卻可以抓到64GB

5. 完全無痛升級

單個指令按下去就好了

apt-get dist-upgrade

完全不用你動什麼腦筋，而且舊版的設定檔還可以繼續使用

多數不會出錯

像我的設定檔就從2002年Mandrake 9一直用到現在Debian 5.0(2009年2月14日推出)

這個可不是每套Linux都能做的到的事

a. LazyBuntu的作者都改行要推LazyDebian了，不再發表LazyBuntu

b. Ptt站方(台大資工)強烈建議要用Linux來架站請用Debian

c. 再生龍還原龍都是使用Debian為基礎改來的分家

d. ^&%$族繁不及備載

Debian是Linux界中的最強者

要用就要用最好，不要盲目的跟隨大家每半年就在那重裝OS....

不累嗎??

而且也正因每半年Ubuntu就要釋出一版新的

所以Bug都還沒除完就放出來....

跟Fedora是一樣的，只是Fedora更爛而已~~~~

不要再用什麼Ubuntu了啦!

大家都用你不覺得很膩嗎??

當我拿著Debian的筆電到處開會時

多少人用羨慕的眼光看著我呀~

因為旁邊都是一成不變的Windows....

只有我是Linux.......................

最後補註:

你看到的那個硬體條件是被唬的吧...

那個應該是裝好的人的電腦配備，不是Ubuntu的最低需求。

Your hardware information for Ubuntu is wrong, wrong & wrong.

Don't know where you got such wrong information.

Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope runs well with as little as 384 Mb RAM. (The installer requires a minimum of 256 Mb RAM, while the alternative installer can run using only 192 Mb RAM.) Netbooks can run Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope.

The install takes between 3-4 Gb hard drive space, and 8 - 10 Gb will be needed to run comfortably.

If you have an older computer with less memory than this, consider Xubuntu (if between 256 Mb and 512 Mb RAM) or PuppyLinux or DSL (if less than 256 Mb RAM).
