who picks nominees for award show?

can we vote to pick them? or do we have no say in the matter?

    It depends.

    For Teen Choice Awards for example, eligible American teens are given the power to nominate and vote for the winners. Whereas to most awards like the Oscars and Golden Globe, the members are only able to nominate and choose the winners, even though some really suck.

    depending upon what type of award--most of the time-the members of the organization that is given the award has the say on who gets an award.
