What do you think people should remember from the East Timor War?

    I'm afraid that not many people will remeber this war. It did have an effect on US policy and military doctrine though. For instance, the Stryker Brigades were a response to the inability to project adequate force quickly to that region. In the end, the Australian Army had to take the mission because it would take the US too long to deploy in sufficient force.
