what is "induced apathy" and what does it have to do with "I.G. Farben"?

    IG Farben is the German chemicals corporation that produced Zyklon B for the Nazis -- the cyanide gas they used to kill the death camp inmates. "Induced apathy" would be Farben's situation of making HUGE profits and being apathetic and unapologetic as to where the money came from.

    I suppose the apathy is "induced" in the sense that it's caused by the situation.
