how do the dogs in animal farm relate to the KGB in Russia?

    i studied this quite a few years ago.... but didn't the dogs protect the pigs and serve as their security-- keeping the other animals in check with their aggressive approach, and thus instilling fear in the animals.

    The KBG was the secret police in Russia that carried out the dirty work of Stalin. They killed many and instilled fear in the public. They protected Stalin and carried out his orders.

    I thought they were like the Nazis in germany. they "Protected" the the german people.
