Like the above responses, there are hundreds of books that take place after SW Episode 6. A trilogy I highly recommend is the Thrawn Trilogy written by Timothy Zahn ( Heir To The Empire, Dark Force Rising and The Last Command) which takes place approximately 5 years after Return of the Jedi.

The books you must read are.

Truce at Bakura - Kathy Tyers which follows Return of the Jedi

    The X-Wing series

The Heir of the Empire series - Timothy Zahn

The Jedi Academy Trilogy - Kevin J. Anderson

    I, Jedi- Michael Stackpole

Young Jedi Knights series - Kevin J. Anderson

Junior Jedi Knights series - Nancy Richardson

The Corellian Trilogy - Roger McBride Allen

The Hand of Thawn Dulogy - Timothy Zahn

    The New Jedi Order series

The Legacy of the Force series

The books you should avoid are

Children of the Jedi - Barbara Hambly

Planet of Twilight - Barbara Hambly

The New Rebellion - Kristine Kathryn Rusch

The Crystal Star - Vonda Mclntyre

But apart from that the rest are great. Enjoy and May the Force be with you.

There are a million books after Episode 6. The best ones to read that are canon are usually in series. The Thrawn trilogy, and New Jedi Order are great. Avoid the Dark Nest though, its utter crap. Legacy of the Force is also great but you'd need to know alot of backstory to fully understand whats going on. These are all series.

the best place to start is the Timothy Zahn trilogy, its about the rest of the grand admirals in the imperial fleet and how they won't surrender just because the emperor is dead, also Luke starts to rebuild the Jedi order. There are probably well over a hundred books. Some are great and some are awful.

    good luck

Tons, buddy. My boyfriend has over 30 Star Wars books all approved by George Lucas. You can find the books on Wikipedia. Put in the words "Star Wars Books" and they'll come up. Good Luck
