    i would say if you had to cut it to 3. go with carmona for a starting pitcher. for saves go with lyon. for holds go with okajima.

    First of all, Wheeler isn't a closer as this point and it doesn't look like he is going to be. Pick up Gil Meche and Kuroda. Kuroda won't give you a ton of SO's but he will help keep your ERA and WHIP's down. Meche is going to have a good year. That gives you 6 quality SP's. Cook wouldn't be a bad choice either but none of the rest of them.

    Fausto Carmona

    He is somewhat of a gamble but has the biggest upside of anyone you listed. Plus your pitchers now are pretty established so far not take the risk. He has 15 win potential.

    Perez was hot for the mets last year... okajima would also be good. either of those two
