If the President of the US was unhappy with the work of the Federal Communications Commission, what steps could the President take to assert control??

If the majority of the members of Congress were unhappy with the work of the FCC, what steps could Congress take to assert control???

    The FCC is a subsidiary of the Executive Branch; they report directly to the president. Congress can pass new laws (all the FCC does is enforce them) and the President can give them direct orders.

    The president can seek to overturn the legislation through an act of Congress. And Congress can amend the statute. But as I recall the FCC is an independent agency of the US Government.
