First you add 1.2 with 6.8

Then subtract that amount from 12.

That would get you the answer for what W is.

1.2+6.8+w=12

8+w=12

w=12-8

w=4

1.2+6.8+4=12

add 1.2 + 6.8 = 8

now you have 8+w=12

subtract 8 on both sides to get w= 4

and thats your answer

here is the full equation

1.2+6.8+w = 12

8+w=12

w=4

remember to add in that u subtracted 8 from both sides

1.2+6.8+w=12

Take the 1.2 over to the other side of the = so it would become a negative 6.8+ w = 12-1.2

6.8+ w = 10.8

Then do the same with the 6.8

w = 10.8 - 6.8

therefore w = 4

if you are trying to find w you would just add 1.2 plus 6.8 and that would give you 8 then you would take 12 minus 8 and that would give you the answer for w

just to make sure get a calculater and add 1.2 plus 6.8 plus 8 and if you get 12 then its right

I'm confused do you have to find the value of w?

If so, you would do 12-(1.2 +6.8) which equals 4

If your not supposed to find the value of W then I'm not sure how you figure it out b/c the answer is already given. Well, good luck:)

well, you add 1.2 + 6.8 and 8.0 os your equation looks like this:

8 + w = 12

then you subtract 8 from both sides including 12 and the 8 on the left side cancels out and on the right you now have 4. so w = 4

hope i helped.:]
