Here's a real answer. When Saddam used chemical weapons against a Kurdish town he killed around 5,000 civilians. He also used chemical weapons against Iran in the war. I'm not sure how many Iranians died. No one knows for sure how many people died in the Iran Iraq war. some think it could be close to a million people. Saddam started this war by invading Iran. So he is definitely responsible for a huge number of deaths. The US invasion of Iraq doesn't even come close to how many people died in the Iran Iraq war. Oh, lets not forget about the the people who died when Saddam decided to invade Kuwait.
Check out the link below to see how brutal chemical weapons are. And the other link breaks down how many deaths Saddam is responsible for. The Iran Iraq war (which Saddam started) is responsible for close to 1 million deaths.
Then when you consider all of the government "purges", crackdowns on shias, Kurds, and the invasion of Kuwait, Saddam could be responsible for well over 1 million deaths.
