does skipping rope help you get into shape for running?

    If you skipped rope for 30-40 minutes a day for a few months, you'll improve your aerobic capacity and run better than if you did nothing at all, however, to run well you need to run. It's called specificity of training.

    not really and it depends on what ur gonna b running [long or short distance] it wont help u either way tho cuz u need to gain endurance in long distance and short distance moslty requires speed so go a nearby track and start doing ur workouts there
