does skipping rope help you get into shape for running?

If you skipped rope for 30-40 minutes a day for a few months, you'll improve your aerobic capacity and run better than if you did nothing at all, however, to run well you need to run. It's called specificity of training.Source(s): http://daveelger.net

not really and it depends on what ur gonna b running [long or short distance] it wont help u either way tho cuz u need to gain endurance in long distance and short distance moslty requires speed so go a nearby track and start doing ur workouts there
