No. Lice are species specific, meaning human head lice prefer humans alone.

Head lice are a different sub species of the lice family so it is highly unlikely either a person can give head lice to an animal and vice versa.Head lice in humans needs treatment immediately and most common in children that seem to spread it by using other kid' combs or living in very very unsanitary conditions where lice seem to breed and continue to breed in the hair.Over the Counter medication is excellent and most schools do head checks on a regular basis esp when an outbreak occursSource(s): Vet nurse,breeder(40yrs)traoner
