What is a "pin down" (basketball terminology)?

In basketball, what is a "pin down"? How does it differ from your run of the mill screen?

A pin down screen is when you set a pick on a player close to the basket, allowing your teammate to pop out to the wing. You "pin down" the opponent allowing your teammate to move from the paint to the wing. This is different from a regular screen because these usually allow lateral movement and cuts to the basket.

Euro - Pin Down is a pick in the paint. Maybe in Europe it's called something else, but your BBall there isn't really basketball anyhow, so you can call it whatever you want over there, ha-ha.
