Is it harder to burn fat or gain muscle?

Is it harder to burn belly fat or gain muscle?

Update:

What do I need to do to get larger muscles rather than more defined ones.

It is harder to gain muscle, due to the complex process of building, healing, and feeding them protein.

Though, the more muscle you have, the more fat you are burning at any given time of the day because just having muscle burns more calories through out your day.

    WAY harder to gain muscle

IT is very possible for someone to lose 100 lbs of fat in a year if they have that much to lose.

You can Gain 10-15 lbs of muscle a year MAX if you do everything perfectly. And the professionals don't even gain that much muscle a year.
