    Tends to be basic, but the range depends on the kind of soap you're talking about and what it's made of. Some "pH balanced" soaps for your face are 7 (neutral), but body soap can be anywhere from 8-10, where laundry soap can be even higher.

    High pH, over 7, therefore basic. Just guessing, but maybe 9.

    it's always alkaline in nature...got to be around 9-10...i'm not exactly sure but it's of course greater than 7(neutral pH)
